Music Lessons in Potters Bar
Potters Bar sits just beyond the North London border, and I travel to students here for home visits. I teach guitar, piano, clarinet, saxophone, and music theory to children and adults of all levels — from complete beginners to those preparing for ABRSM grade exams.

ABRSM Exam Preparation
I prepare students for ABRSM grade exams in guitar, piano, clarinet, and saxophone. From Grade 1 through to the higher grades, I build a structured plan so students are confident and ready on exam day.
About Your Teacher
My name is Saygın. I graduated from Ege University State Conservatoire in Turkey, where I studied piano and clarinet, and completed a pedagogical formation programme at the same university — giving me both the musical training and the formal teaching skills to work with students of all ages and backgrounds.
Over a 20-year career, I have taught, performed and published. Before moving to London, I performed regularly on national television and major radio stations, and worked as a studio musician on album, commercial and film recordings. In 2019, I published Klarnet Eğitimi — a comprehensive clarinet method book.
In 2020, I moved to London and established North London Music Lessons. My youngest students are five years old — and I also teach working adults who are picking up an instrument for the first time.
How I Teach
Every student is different, and lessons should reflect that. Some students come with a clear goal — an ABRSM exam to pass, or a piece they have always wanted to learn. Others are just starting out and are not sure yet where music will take them. Both are a great place to begin.
Patience and consistency are at the heart of every lesson. Progress looks different for every student — and that is exactly how it should be.
